AFRIEF and BIZ AFRICA Announce MOU to Promote Trade and Halal Economy Development in Africa

ACCRA, GHANA. – 09th July, 2019 – The Africa Islamic Economic Foundation (AFRIEF), and Biz Africa, a Singaporean based trade facilitation platform today announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into a strategic collaboration to foster trade between Africa and Asia, professional exchange and dialogue, scholarly research and collaboration across areas of sustainable development and halal economy in Africa.

The two collaborating parties will bring together their capabilities and expertise to nurture the creative role of national and international scholarly and professional communication and collaboration in the development and dissemination of knowledge, infrastructural and industrial projects development, and facilitation of innovative programmes of action aiming at accelerated sustainable development and improvement of livelihoods in Africa.

The agreement also signals the commitment of AFRIEF and Biz Africa to address key challenges facing the Halal industry in Africa on professional development and certification, through raising the levels of awareness, knowledge and professional standards across the broad spectrum of the Islamic Economy.
