The Africa Islamic Economic Forum (AFRIEF) is an independent development organization dedicated to the promotion of sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development in Africa through the application of Islamic perspectives on economic development and social issues. Registered in the Republic of Ghana as a non-profit in 2013, we engage in a variety of activities including professional advisory services to individuals, organizations, and governments; research; policy development and field-building. Our focus on themes related to the Islamic economy aims to drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development in Africa. Our research initiatives focus on generating knowledge and insights, which contribute to the promotion of ventures for the intellectual nourishment of humanity and the reconstruction of human thought in the light of Revealed Knowledge. In a continent marked by complex challenges and vast opportunities, we engage political, business, academic, civil society, and other leaders to shape Africa’s regional and industry agendas. Established to operate independently, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of governance, moral, and intellectual integrity. Its monthly colloquium series attract top scholars in the relevant fields from around the globe to explore pressing issues in Islamic economics, Environment, Global economy and leadership.
