OUR EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Executive Council (EC) serves as the executive organ of the Africa Islamic Economic Forum (AFRIEF), operating under the directives of the Board of Trustees. Its members, appointed by the Founder/President, are distinguished professionals and experts chosen to ensure geographic balance, technical expertise, and prominence.

Mandate
The EC governs AFRIEF’s general affairs, ensuring compliance with its constitution and bye-laws. Acting as a collective executive body, it:

  • Implements resolutions of the Board of Trustees.
  • Manages AFRIEF’s operations with efficiency and foresight.
  • Facilitates decision-making during meetings or in urgent circumstances.

Founder/President
The Founder/President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of AFRIEF, providing strategic leadership and representing the Foundation globally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Chairing Executive Council meetings and overseeing the Foundation’s activities.
  • Spearheading the development and implementation of AFRIEF’s philosophy, mission, and objectives.
  • Acting as AFRIEF’s primary spokesperson to industry, government, media, and the public.
  • Building relationships with global business leaders, intellectuals, and professionals to enhance AFRIEF’s profile and sponsorship opportunities.

The President is supported by two Vice-Presidents and an Executive Director.
